Studio Lighting Foundations Workshop with Isaac Jones
This hands-on workshop is designed to demystify lighting and help you build real confidence behind the camera. Instead of memorizing setups, we’ll focus on understanding why light works the way it does, how to read it, and how to shape it intentionally for your own creative vision.
Together, we’ll break down the foundations of studio lighting in a clear, approachable way. You’ll learn how to identify different types of light, modify them, and make thoughtful choices based on mood, subject, and story. This is about moving from guessing to knowing, and from copying to creating.
The workshop will be highly practical, with live demonstrations, guided shooting time, and space to ask questions as we go. You’ll walk away with a stronger visual vocabulary for light, a clearer process, and tools you can apply immediately to your own work.
This is ideal for photographers who:
Feel intimidated by studio lighting
Want a stronger technical foundation
Are ready to be more intentional and confident with their images
Prefer understanding over memorization
